H & H Lawyers에 합류하기 전 김진한 변호사는 세계적인 이민 전문 로펌인 Fragomen에서 다년간 근무하며 다국적 기업, 정부 기관 및 개인 고객에게 이민법 자문을 제공하였으며, 특히 기업 이민과 관련하여 독보적인 경력을 쌓았습니다. 현재 H & H Lawyers에서 이민팀을 이끌고 있는 김진한 변호사는 정보통신, 엔지니어링, 에너지, 예술, 종교, 금융 등 거의 모든 범위의 산업분야에 걸쳐 전문적인 이민 서비스를 담당하고 있으며 호주에 법인을 둔 대다수의 한국계 대기업을 대상으로 이민법 및 고용법 관련 자문을 제공하고 있습니다. 김진한 변호사는 현재 대한무역투자진흥공사(KOTRA)의 시드니 및 멜번 무역관의 자문변호사로 활발히 활동하고 있으며 호주한인변호사 협회 소속 변호사로서 시드니영사관에서 진행되는 법률상담에도 참여하고 있습니다.

The Pullman in New Delhi’s Aerocity provided the perfect backdrop to engage in discussions about “The Future of Law: Agility, Creativity & Change” – exploring how artificial intelligence, shifting geopolitical dynamics, and evolving cross-border investment regimes are reshaping legal practice. James was officially appointed as IPBA President-Elect ahead of the 2027 IPBA Conference in Sydney.

H & H Lawyers' Leadership Recognised at the IPBA Annual Conference in Chicago
A group of delegates from our firm, namely, James Jung, Tin-Lok Shea, John Kim, and MARTIN POLAINE, FCIArb FAIADR, recently attended the Inter-Pacific Bar Association (IPBA) Annual Conference in Chicago. The IPBA community has always been a collegiate and engaged group, and this year was no exception – the conference was a great opportunity to reconnect with familiar faces, exchange ideas, and build new connections across jurisdictions. The energy of the host city was on full display, from incisive keynote speeches and thoughtful panel discussions to a standout welcome reception at Wrigley Field, where the Cubs edged out the Dodgers (much to the disappointment of many Shohei Ohtani fans in attendance). We are proud to share that James Jung was announced as the Vice-President of the IPBA, with the 2027 conference planned to be hosted in Sydney (where he will officially become President).

이민부의 TSS (subclass 482) 비자 정책 변경
2023년 4월 27일에 Home Affairs 장관 Clare O'Neil이 발표한 이민 정책 변경과 관련하여, 다음과 같은 내용이 확인되었습니다: 2023년 7월 1일부로 TSS (482) 비자 프로그램의 Temporary Skilled Migration Income Threshold (최소 연봉 기준)이 기존 $53,900에서 $70,000으로 상향 조정됩니다. 이에 따라 7월 1일 이후 482 노미네이션과 비자를 신청하는 경우, 시장 급여 기준과 본인의 급여가 $70,000 미만인 경우 신청이 불가능해집니다. 올해 말까지는 호주에서 482 비자로 일하는 비자 소지자인 경우, 단기/중장기 직업군 상관 없이, 본인 직업군에서 같은 고용주와 2년 이상 일한 경우 186 영주비자 신청이 가능하도록 정책 변경을 시행할 계획입니다.
