H & H Lawyers at the IPBA Mid-Year Conference in Ho Chi Minh City

Our partner Tin-Lok Shea, the Inter-Pacific Bar Association’s Jurisdictional Council Member for Australia, recently attended the IPBA Mid-Year Conference in Ho Chi Minh City. The trip was timely, as the firm looks to expand its reach into strategic South East Asian markets. Despite the short time on the ground, we held meaningful meetings with local law firms and some key businesses (we promise we weren’t just there for the amazing food).

Tin-Lok was joined by Nikki Bui, John Kim, Ken Hong, and James Jung, who is serving as IPBA President-Elect. Special mention goes to Nikki, who put her Vietnamese language skills and cultural know-how to full effect. Once again, we saw the power of being able to connect when we speak the other’s language.

Ho Chi Minh City is brimming with vibrant energy, and we left with plenty of it. We look forward to continuing to strengthen our ties with Vietnam.

Next up on the IPBA circuit: Sydney will host the 35th IPBA Annual Meeting and Conference, from 7 to 10 April 2027 at the Hyatt Regency Sydney.
