Australia-Japan Career Pathways Panel: H & H Lawyers Joins AJC to Inspire Future Professionals

In July, as part of our ongoing support for the UNSW Australia Japan Career Development Society (AJC), we had the pleasure of participating in the cross-cultural career panel event “Working Across Worlds: Japan-Australia Career Pathways”, co-hosted by AJC, the Japanese Association at Macquarie (JAM), and the USYD Japan Career Network (JCN). Alongside four other inspiring panellists, we were proud to have our lawyer Minami Sakaida represent H & H Lawyers at the event. The panel brought together students and young professionals interested in exploring career and study opportunities across Australia and Japan. Around 100 attendees, including university, high school and language school students, joined to hear firsthand stories and practical advice from speakers who have lived, studied, or worked in both countries. As a recently admitted solicitor who moved from Japan at a young age and began her legal career in Australia, Minami shared her personal journey and the unique insights she gained while navigating cultural differences and entering the profession as a recent graduate. We thank the organisers for hosting such a meaningful and inspiring event, and we look forward to continuing our support for the next generation of Australia-Japan professionals.
